Sift Quest is a B2B service intermediary providing pure factory sourcing services — factory screening, supplier verification, EXW price benchmarking, MOQ confirmation and buyer-factory coordination — to importers of fitness, sports, recreation and rehabilitation products. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website or contact us.

2. What we collect

We only collect what is needed to respond to you and deliver our services:

• Contact details you submit through our forms (name, business email, company).
• Project information you choose to share (product category, target market, import volume, message).
• Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited — only if you accept optional analytics cookies (see section 4).

3. Why we process your data & legal basis

• To respond to your enquiry — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To provide contracted services and invoicing — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records) — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• To send free resources you request — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

4. Cookies & analytics

This website uses only essential cookies by default (for example, to remember your cookie choice). Optional analytics — such as Google Analytics — are loaded only after you click “Accept analytics” in our cookie banner. You can reject them and still use the site fully. Analytics data is used in aggregated form to understand which pages are useful to importers; we do not use it to identify individuals.

5. Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the website (e.g. hosting, form processing, analytics) under data-processing agreements; and
• Authorities or parties where required by law.

6. How long we keep data

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless a project starts (then for the duration of the project plus any legally required retention period). Cookie and analytics data is kept per the provider’s settings, anonymized wherever possible.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed by service providers outside the EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
